Cereals processing involves separation of pre-cleaning waste from the clean product, which will be further processed until it produces flour.
This type of sieving in mills and cereal processing plants is usually carried out through a plansichter; however, even a circular vibrating screen can carry out this operation easily and with the advantage of easy cleaning and maintenance, and a small dimensions sieve.
We can see in this short video how the separation of ground barley through a circular vibrating screen from our C-Line range takes place:
As you can see, in a few seconds the ground product is divided into three parts, with high separation efficiency, between husk, starch and a portion of fiber and flour recovered from the first grinding.
