Copper screening at 20 and 60 microns for additive manufacturing by Virto-Cuccolini’s X-Line

While the Virto-Cuccolini’s team is working at the launch of its range of solutions for 3D-printing metal powders recovery, we are not losing the meaningful habit of carrying out screening tests to check the performance of our X-Line range with literally any product on the market.

This time we measured our X-Line’s performance in sieving copper with 20 and 60 µm cut points; an easy task for our CS 065 lab version, as you can see in below video:

Copper is a native, ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity, which finds employment in particularly challenging applications, as within space industry, electronics, automotive; and also has antimicrobial properties.

Additive manufacturing is pushing the use of copper to a whole new level of shape detail and precision.

Virto-Cuccolini is happy to participate in the 3D printing technological innovation, giving our world a chance to improve the use of materials and their recycling.
