Is it possible to check the status of a sieving mesh while the system is working?
Yes, with Virto-Cuccolini’s sieving equipment it is possible.
How do we do it?
First, let’s enter into the context where such a solution is preferable.
Continuous production cycles generally are used when the required production flow rate is high, and/or the process cannot be stopped except for periodic maintenance activity due to the use of high or low temperature, pressure etc. during the cycle.
Within this context, maintenance can only occur in prefixed times of the year. In some specific cases, the cost of the raw materials is such, that a failure of the system would cause major problems to the Customer’s cash flow.
Virto-Cuccolini was addressed some time ago to find a solution to the above issues within the technical ceramics segment.
And here is what our technical staff sorted out:
VLC sieving system, which is composed by a safety sieve with increased volume for oversize product and a gravimetric control system, to detect the difference in weight as soon as the safety sieve receives oversize product along with the usual undersize product flow.
In the picture on the right, you can see the VLC system accompanying a Virto-Cuccolini classifier. The system is known as HC.
